One of our favorite seasons for paddling and surfing is Fall. And the heart of Fall is October. It's when the leaves are turning across the valleys and high country, and the wildlife begin to migrate to lower altitudes for Winter. For us, it is all the more reason to get on your board or in a boat to explore Idaho. SUPtoberfest kicks off with the Fall Paddle Classic and ends with Hull-o-Ween. In between we host schools and other groups on Quinn's Pond. Esther Simplot Park is the new gem in Boise's "String of Pearls" park system through the generosity of the Simplot Family.In 2003 J.R. & Esther Simplot gave the City of Boise a $1 million gift that allowed Boise Parks & Recreation to purchase a former gravel and concrete plant property on the Boise River for a future Esther Simplot Park. The city had previously acquired 39 acres in 1992, a portion of which was donated by the Quinn-McEntee family.
