Idaho River Sports introduced the idea of a Halloween paddle close to 25 years ago and coined the name Hull-o-Ween. The first Hull-o-Weens were held on the Main Payette served as the end of season event for the Idaho Canoe Club. When the store moved to the Quinn's Pond location the event moved with the store and the Idaho Canoe Club grew to include stand up paddleboards.
For Hull-o-Ween customers, friends and canoe club members dress up and deck out their boats & boards, then paddle for prizes! Kids, pets and goblins welcome for this family-friendly event to celebrate Fall paddling at Idaho’s favorite paddling venue!
We host a BBQ and participants bring a scary (delicious) potluck dish to share.
Idaho River Sports offers free kayak, canoe and SUP pond rentals with reservations depending on availability. See this years event details in the calendar for availability and any updates to this original Idaho paddling event by clicking here.
