Women in River Surfing: April Zastrow (Boise, Idaho)

This is an excerpt from an article about Boisean April Zastrow by Philipp Babcicky who writes for RiverBreak - The International River Surf Magazine.

Notes: April has been a professional motocross racer since she was 15. She's a graphic designer for a motocross apparel company, Fly Racing and paints all of her own boards which are shaped by Idaho River Sports' custom board shaper Chris Peterson. Some of us also knew her late father Stan and can understand where April gets her adventurous spirit.

April knew river surfing wasn’t going to just be a one-time thing. After competing in motocross for 15 years she has discovered her love for river surfing. Read how she got into it, what she thinks about her home break and sportsmanship, and her insights on the fear of failure.
