Silver Creek Preserve

Paddling & Surf Locations

The Silver Creek Paddle is an annual favorite in Spring. The float is short but scenic through the The Nature Conservancy in Idaho Silver Creek Preserve. Some folks will usually go up and paddle Saturday, camp or stay in Ketchum overnight and float again on Sunday since it is a bit of a drive over.

This is an easy paddle and great for beginners. While we have paddled Silver Creek in all 12 months, the weather can be tricky in the Spring and Fall. For our annual Idaho Canoe Kayak SUP Club April excursion we can expect all kinds of conditions from snow to wind or rain. You'll see tons of birds and some moose, if we get lucky.

Remember no dogs are allowed through the preserve. For more about the Silver Creek Preserve - click here.
